When you first start Art-Scan, you can set the size area of the scanner's bed you wish to preview. When you press preview, Art-Scan will automatically scan, color correct, crop and display your image on screen. Users can set the resolution of the preview via preferences.

After you preview, Art-Scan will automatically analyze the preview image and determine how to best display it given your monitor's size. Art-Scan will resize its window to give the maximum possible viewing area. This allows users to make full use of their 14", 17", 19" and 21" monitors.

After determining the best window size, Art-Scan will zoom in on the cropped area without the need to rescan. This allows users to see the most amount of detail possible and to fine tune any adjustment needed. This gives perfect what you see is what you get scans with no guess work.

Art-scan's Multi Level Descreening Filter allows you to remove this pattern by setting the original's halftone screen size.
