How long do I have to request a refund?

Refund requests may be made only within the first 30 days after initial purchase with a few exceptions. The first exception is if technical support has been contacted while still within the 30-day period, and while working with technical support a solution cannot be found; a refund then can be issued past the 30-day period.

The second exception is for products that require an activation code. After an activation code has been requested for a software product no refunds will be made for the activated software, the software is setup so you do not have to activate it until the 30 day limit is up. If there are any problems with the activated software you will then need to contact technical support.

How do I request a refund?

To request a refund for a software purchase you may do so through our online contact form. You will then be contacted by a ScanHelp.com representative in order to continue with the refund process, or to help resolve any problems that you may have regarding the request for a refund.


How fast will I get the refund?

Within one business day, we will credit your card the amount of the purchase; minus shipping cost. If you order the product at the start of a business day, and request a refund before 3PM EST; you may never see the charge on your credit card. If you request a refund past 5pm EST on a Friday your request may not be processed until the start of the next business day.

What is not covered by the money-back guarantee?

Any order where shipping costs were incurred, the shipping costs will not be refunded. Any request made for a refund after an activation code has been issued for a software product will not be honored.

If a software bundle was purchased, with only one piece of software being activated, then a refund is requested. The amount of the refund will depend on cost difference between the pieces of software so that the activated software will be charged the full purchase price.

Do I need to return software to get a refund?

For orders where direct download was selected you will only need to uninstall the software from the local system, and destroy any of the software products installer. For orders where shipping was involved you will need to both remove the software from the local machine, and return the software that was shipped out in order to receive a full refund.

*Any software purchased through a reseller will need to be refunded through that reseller.
